Fresh food with a flair. Quality ingredients cooked with their own twist bring us back for the kobe beef burger, mac and cheese with a truffle crust or seared scallops with blood orange beurre blanc. Enjoy a great wine and beer selection. The Crooked Spoon is just 1 block from Cobblestone Cove Villas and The Shoreline Inn. Open lunch and dinner. Book a GMHC romantic package and dine at the Crooked Spoon.

Dockside Fish Market - Highway 61 - 218-387-2906

Best fish 'n' chips in town! This is the local commercial fisherman's shop. They catch the herring and lake trout and smoke all the fish they sell. They round out their offerings with seafood, a nice selection of cheese and accoutrements. From the deli, we like the herring fish 'n' chips, and any of the chowders. Open lunch and dinner, seasonally.

Gun Flint Tavern - Downtown - 218-387-1563

Downtown tavern & live music. Tasty, well-rounded eclectic menu plus a dozen micro-brews on tap, a full bar and a seasonal upstairs deck bar overlooking the harbor. The soups are always tasty and we are rather fond of the Reuben and the Hummus plate, but the Tamales and Bangers and Mash are delicious as well!! Check the wall for daily specials and listing of the live entertainment provided weekends throughout the year plus special occasions and open mic nights. Open lunch and dinner.

My Sister's Place - On the snowmobile trail - 218-387-1915

Aspen Lodge across the road, love's My Sister's Place burgers & pizza. We especially like the House Special pizza with a glass of red wine or draft beer. Open lunch and dinner.

Sven & Ole's - Downtown  - 218-387-1713

Half a block from The Shoreline Inn and Cobblestone Cove Villas. The brothers sold their mom's brownies to make money for college and have been feeding visitors and locals ever since. They've got pizzas, subs, salads, unbaked pizzas for take out, and they offer delivery, appetizers, real ice cream treats and a full bar at the Pickle Herring Club. We're especially fond of the Uf-Dah 'Za [wild rice & Canadian bacon] and the Meat 'Za. Open lunch and dinner.
