Charter Fishing
Tofte Charters on Lake Superior Watch the Sawtooth Mountain range and the Superior National Forest slide slowly by as we troll along the rugged North Shore. King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead and Lake Trout inhabit the local waters and all make for fine dining after the trip.
A fishing trip on Lake Superior aboard Tofte Charters makes for a great compliment to your vacation, whether you are staying in Beaver Bay, Silver Bay, Schroeder, Tofte, Lutsen or Grand Marais. The solitude of the BWCAW without all the extra work.
Only the best equipment is used aboard Tofte Charters. Humminbird & Lowrance fish finders, Cannon Downriggers, and Shimano rods and reels ensure that you have the best chance at landing trophy fish.
Our first priority aboard Tofte Charters is to have fun catching fish! Tofte Charters departs from Taconite Harbor. Taconite Harbor is located 1.5 miles south of Schroeder or approximately 6 miles south of Tofte. When going south you will pass under 3 railroad bridges before turning into the Taconite Harbor public access and safe harbor. If coming north the turn will be just before the first bridge.
